When the cumulative score is 18-24 points, the match is considered average; 24-32 points indicate good compatibility; and 32-36 points suggest excellent harmony. However, experienced astrologers look beyond mere numbers, analyzing planetary positions, Dashas, and specific yogas that might enhance or diminish compatibility.
Mangal Dosha, or Manglik Dosha, occurs when Mars occupies certain houses in the birth chart (1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th). This placement is believed to create challenges in married life, including conflicts, health issues, or in severe cases, loss of spouse. However, not all Mangal Doshas are equally severe.
Several cancellation factors exist in Vedic Astrology that neutralize Mangal Dosha. If both partners have Mangal Dosha, it cancels out. Additionally, Mars in certain signs, or beneficial aspects from Jupiter, can reduce its negative effects. A qualified astrologer can accurately assess the severity and suggest appropriate remedies.

They analyze the 7th house (house of marriage) and its lord in both charts, Venus’s position (significator of marriage), the Moon’s placement (emotional compatibility), and the overall strength of both charts.
The timing of marriage is also crucial. Even compatible charts can face challenges if married during unfavorable Dashas or transits. Astrologers analyze whether both individuals are going through supportive planetary periods that encourage marital harmony and growth.
Many people believe that low Gun Milan scores guarantee marriage failure, which is not entirely true. Numerous other factors influence marital success. Similarly, having 36/36 Gunas doesn’t guarantee a perfect marriage if other chart factors are challenging.
